We just squeezed a little trip to Wisconsin into our busy summer.  And made it to Madison for a fun summer day.  This is the famous Memorial Union!  Tony is always talking about we have to go get ice cream and sit on the terrace.  Evan enjoyed it!

The other story to share is about our dinner a few nights ago.  Evan is never impressed when Tony or I cook real food.  We try to convince him to eat a few bites, but its a battle.  He knows what he likes and sticks with it.  But, a few nights ago, Tony made black bean burgers.  They were sitting on a plate on the table when Evan went to his chair to sit down.  He got pretty excited... "I want one, I want a cookie, I want a big one!"  Oh, to get his hopes up that we made cookies for dinner was kinda cute, but he quickly became confused when the taste of these cookies were not what he was expecting.

Evan can't get enough of this tractor that Grandma Bray found at a garage sale and brought to TC this week.  This has been good for hours of fun the past 3 days, and the first thing we wants when he wakes up.  He can't quite reach the pedals, but that the doesn't stop him from scooting around taking little steps in the small space between the tractor seat and the pedals, even if it means scratching up his shins.



Another fun surprise this week was Ryan visiting from Seattle.  We don't get to see him enough.  And since we're still having beautiful summer weather, we enjoyed some more beach time, and some ice cream! 

4th of july run

First weekend of July, 80 and summer = perfect!  We went to the beach (our beach and North Bar Lake), grilled burgers with friends, and visited Katie and Sean at their cottage in Central Lake.  We knew that 4th of July fireworks were not in the plans this year for Evan, so instead I did a 10k race... the best ever (only second one) 59:27.  Here we are before the race, and no we didn't plan the matching outfits...
