canadian adventure

We've been home from the Canadian Rockies for over a month, but I have not put up pictures yet.  We're busy, and I knew it would take some time to sort through the hundreds of great pictures and choose the best.  We spent most of the time in Yoho National Park and Field, British Columbia, and also in surrounding national parks and sites, and were lucky to have great friends (the Zeratsky's) to hike/travel with.  Here's some glimpses of an awesome adventure!  The above picture was taken in front of Lake Louise on the hike to the Lake Agnes tea house...

This was one of our favorites days... a couple hour hike and a good sit with some chai and cookies.  Evan even sung to us on the hike...

Tony and I spent afternoon by ourselves and went to another nearby tea house (Valley of the Ten Peaks)...

Here are some of the other incredible sites...

The Larch Valley

Lake O'Hara

Emerald Lake

Banff

Calgary Zoo

And Evan's favorite part of trip... hanging with his buddy Ava.

He would wake up 1-2 hours before her each day, and we would hang out in the common room upstairs in the hostel.  He kept wanting someone to check and see if she was awake.  When she finally was...."Ava's awake!" he would say and excitedly get down the stairs, and would shriek and jump around when he saw her.

He also liked the trains and horse poop, and like usual the trucks...
