empire adventure

Tony and I have been looking forward to adventuring out to some fun places in northern Michigan this summer.  There are a few cities that we haven't explored enough, and a few trails that we've never been on.  Tony is very excited to find fun places to train for the Pikes Peak marathon.  Today... after a long, not very nice spring, it was in the 70s.  Perfect day for an outdoor adventure!  So, to Empire we went.  Tony and I each did a run on the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive while the other played with Evan in the dirt/forest under the covered bridge.  That kid never gets bored of forests and dirt.  Almost 2 hours later... it was time to hit up the second stop on our Empire adventure... the Asparagus festival.  We really went for the food, and it was sure good.  Asparagus bruschetta might be my new favorite food.
