Tony read it one of our baby books that children become less self-absorbed at age three. He reminds me of this sometimes during some difficult moments with a 2-year old. Evan seems to want everything I have. If I'm looking at a book, he wants it to see. Then if I give it to him, it now becomes "MINE". Evan seems to fear that I will then steal it back, so says "Take it" (meaning "don't take it"). And then often throws in "looking at it" (meaning "mom, you should not be looking at it").
Though, most of the time he is a happy toddler and a pretty good sharer with his friends and grandparents. And he is happy around mom and dad... as long he is getting what he wants!
