One of the activities that Evan and I have attempted to be a part of since he was about 2 months old are playgroups. It gives us somewhere to go, and gives me a chance to see other moms. For the most part, Evan is indifferent to going to playgroup. He likes his "friends" but would be just as happy playing at home. Too many times at playgroup he can't focus on anything but the snacks. This week, the huge plate of cookies! And wants to grab my hand and bring me wherever he wants to go. Though, while he is grabbing me to show me a toy, or sit with him, or go back for more snacks, I am frequently attempting to visit with the ladies. I feel bothered by his neediness at the time, but after the fact realize how it should make me feel good to be needed by him... and have his little hand reach for mine.
And, I love seeing him interact with other kids as he gets older. Here is a video of Evan and Griffin running around today.
And aren't toddler hugs the sweetest?
